St Martin: Anywhere new and noteworthy

Leaving for SM next week. Other than the usual suspects- are there any new great places to eat anywhere on the island? Have car....will travel.

There are three beachside restaurants on Pinel Island. The receptionist at our hotel told us that Karibuni was the best of the three. The setting is tranquil and shaded nestled at the end of the beach.

We had a delightful meal there. I had a tilapia sandwich which was moist and tasty. My wife had a lobster just plucked from the sea in front of the restaurant. It was grilled perfectly and served with melted butter and a choice of French fries, sweet potato fries or rice. Both our meals were accompanied by a green salad. A surprisingly good meal enjoyed in bare feet and bathing suits.

Karibuni is great but not new! Try villa pizza in Cul de Sac it is on your way to the boat for Pinel great magret de canard!
