Yes, another wine fridge thread! Just curious if anyone has any experience with or heard of the Avantgarde wine fridges? I was going to pull the trigger on a Cavavin CAVA160NSX, but when I was going to some dealers, a former Cavavin dealer was now selling Avantgarde as they found the prices much better and felt the quality was similar.

This is the fridge in questions...

I don't really care about the dual temp. But it does claim some sort of "humidity control", not sure what that could be as there are no controls for this on the fridge. Has a charcoal filter, front venting, roll out trays, etc.

Was curious as well about the operating temp. The smaller zone is only "5 - 10 deg C" while the second zone is 10 to 18. Would this cause an issue if I wanted to do longer term storage (Say 5 to 10 years?). I have a hygrometer to check humidity/temp and would likely try the "distilled water in a small bowl" trick to try and keep humidity in the 50 to 60ish range.

I currently keep my wines in a cold cellar with the venting holes to the outdoors plugged with insulation and the door open. The cellar generally stays between 45 and 55 degrees F all year round, maybe reaching 60 in the summer. However, humidity dips to 36% right now in the winter (Toronto).

So interested in your thoughts!

Thanks!
