pupusas, baleadas, central american restaurants in southern connecticut....please

I am looking for a restaurant that serves pupusas. I have found a couple in bridgeport and norwalk that are good but I didn't love the cabbage slaw (curtido de repollo). The one in bridgeport was a mexican place that served pupusas as well which may have accounted for the flavorless slaw? There are some posts on pupusas but they are from a couple years ago so thought I should try to repost the topic.

I would also love any other central american restaurant suggestions in the area.
Thanks in advance!

I don't know if either of these places have what you are looking for, but both get good reviews and are consistently busy (and both are in Milford): La Casita, on Bridgeport Ave, is , I believe, Colombian, and Incas, on Naugatuck Ave is Peruvian.

Try Antojitos Chapines in Stamford. Small, a few tables but mostly takeout. I've eaten the slaw, I like it, but it's never struck me as much more. Interested to hear what a good one is like.
