Nice meal Midtown while watching TV?

I'm going to be in Midtown tomorrow night with my 20 year old daughter. We'd love to have a good meal but we also want to watch the Sugar Bowl (Michigan fans). We don't want to go to a sports bar. Any suggestions for good restaurants where we could sit at the bar and watch TV?

Try Primehouse at Park and 27th, decent steaks, sports bar worthy TVs in the bar.

Tenzan Sushi 2nd Ave 54th or so - decent sushi.. more big screens at the bar (and before the flaming arrives... they want TV's... not top sushi... so save all the comments about how it is Americanized and disgusting and not Yasuda... it is fine neighborhood sushi and the TVs are big)

And don't dismiss some of the bars like Heartland midtown..

If you do not want a Sports Bar, I totally understand that, well there are nice pubs in and around the area, and one is here: http://www.fitzpatrickhotels.com/gran...

Pubs are more pleasant and civil, and you can dine and watch the game in an atmosphere that has character. Your food will be more diverse, often classic or with UK items selection, and better than the sports bar fare.

      Good luck.

Heartland's food sucks, at least the location at the Empire State, and I doubt another location is good. So I'd dismiss it as a place to eat.
