attention pho aficionados....good pho in the south bay...anyone?
i am getting tired of driving to gardengrove/westminster to get my pho fix...especially with the price of gas nowadays.... my go to place in gg and westminster is pho79....does anyone come close or better it in the south bay?
Saigon Dish has vegetarian dishes that are very hard to find at other restaurants including Goi Cuon Chay -vegetable spring rolls, Pho Chay vegetarian pho - this soup is prepared in a vegetable broth and Com Rau Xao-vegetable stir-fry.

When it's Pho time, we take our teenagers here. Soup is done well and the fixin's are delicious.

i have never been to saigon dish...from the oustide it did not look like a place that would have good pho...will try it....
i have been to pho so 1 though and... i did not like it...the price was right (ok) and the broth was good not as good as pho 79 but good...but the meat was tough and rubbery....i usually got the everything #1 or flank/brisket.....i went four times....i really wanted to like it but the meat toughness...just could not get to accept it....havent been for over a year now.
there is a pho hana in rolling hills estates that has good pho but the price is close to $8 ! ....stopped going for more than a year now.....at that price i'm thinking i might as well drive to pho79 in gg/westminster and get the pho i really like.
I was down in the south bay on a sunday, and ended up at Pho Ever (a lot of other places seemed to be closed). It really exceeded my expectations - the pho broth was complex (not one note and overpowered by anise like some places). We also got a pork broken rice plate which was good (com dia?). I think it is a good Westminster worthy alternative.

I second Saigon Dish. Pho So 1 is okay. I have been to both places (Van Nuys and Gardena).
Carson has a surprisingly good place, Blue Lotus at 21705 Main St at Carson Ave. I like the #1 or #2, depending on my appetite.
