Can ham hocks be frozen??

I want to make black eyed peas tomorrow in my slow cooker. The only ham hocks that they were selling at the supermarket I was at came like 5 to a package!! I think I'll only need 1 for this recipe. Can I freeze the rest??

Oh my yes. It's nice to always have one in the freezer for an impromptu pot of beans, collards, soup, whatev.
