Foodie destinations in Florida?

Can anyone recommend any cities/towns in Florida with a high concentration of quality restaurants (at any price point)? I've been to Miami a few years ago, but only for a weekend. The only place that was memorable was Versailles, and more for the experience.
Would appreciate any recommendations for somewhere you could conceivably eat well at a variety of places for at least a month. Thanks!

I'd say Orlando or Tampa. There are lots of active members from both locals. Being from Orlando here is a sample week.

Day 1. Dinner at The Ravenous Pig

Day 2. Lunch at 4 Rivers Smoke House (Burnt Ends Sandwich, Messy Pig pulled pork)

Day 3. Enjoy an Indian Buffet or Meal - (Aashirwad, Memories of India, Saffron, New Punjab)

Day 4. Food Truck Rally hit up trucks like: Crooked Spoon, Big Wheel Provisions, Pinchomania, Swede dish, Pupusa, Feast Beast etc.

Day 5. Downtown Orlando Magic Game and Dinner at The Rusty Spoon

Day 6. Winter Park Farmers Market then lunch or dinner at Luma

    Day 7. Brunch at Dexters

I'd add K, the Tasting Room and one of the Vietnamese places on Mills/SR 50 to the list as possibilities

I like the idea of 31 days of food destinations in Orlando.

Day 8. Check out the Vi-Mi/Mills-50 District Browse the Asian grocery store and imports. Lunch - Banh Mi (Boston Bakery maybe?) Dinner Pho at Pho 88 perhaps?

Day 9. Dinner and wine at K

Day 10: Dinner at the Tasting room

Day 11. Sink your teeth into a delicious burger and enjoy some craft beers at Oblivion.

Sorry I think I'm having too much fun with this.

Day 12: Enjoy hearty German food at Hollerbach's Willow Tree Cafe in quaint, picturesque downtown Sanford for lunch, and browse for European groceries at the nearby Magnolia Square Market (owned by the same family) for a lighter dinner.

Day 13: Back to Park Avenue for lunch at Bosphorous, an incredible Turkish restaurant (try the mixed appetizer platter with puffy lavash bread, and maybe a doner kebab to share as an entree), do some window shopping (including buying spices at Penzey's), and enjoy Irish fare or awesome burgers with a few pints for an early dinner at Fiddler's Green Irish Pub.

            ohh that sounds good!

Day 15: Head of to Fortuna Bakery where the menu is all in spanish but they are very friendly and will help you out. Empanadas. Arepas, Chorizo. Colombian Pastries and cakes.

Day 16: Time for Sandwiches at Press 101

Day 17: There has got to be another food truck bazaar by now, so you can sample some trucks you missed the first time around. (My favorites: Big Wheel Provisions, The Crooked Spoon, and Korean BBQ Taco Box.)

Day 18: Sushi Pop, an extremely innovative, funky new sushi restaurant in suburban Oviedo, which you would never think of as a destination for creative, exciting dining. We ate there for the first time the other night and fell in love with the place. Afterwards, you can shop for gourmet groceries at nearby Cavallari Gourmet.

Day 19: Can't decide between pizza and Thai food? Don'tcha hate it when that happens? Well, at Del Dee Bistro in Casselberry, you won't have to decide! They specialize in Italian and Thai food, with the best New York-style pizza in town. I recommend the Brooklyn pizza, with thin slices of crispy-fried eggplant and ricotta cheese, and don't forget a Thai iced tea!

Sushi Pop is on my list of places to go . I'm going to have to make it a date night and go to Cavalari as well.

and Del Dee Bistro is new to me, I've never heard of it.

                Great picks!

S_S, I wrote up a Del Dee review thread back in August. My wife and I have been semi-regulars for the last year or so, and we love their pizza.

Wow, this is an awesome list of places to check out! Any thoughts on other locations, like Fort Meyers or Ft Lauderdale, or anywhere else? Thanks all!

So we need 11 more places right?

Week 3 is ethnic week (depending on what you have locally where you are from)

Day 20: Lac Viet for non-pho north Vietnamese food - unique in the US except for LA and here I believe

Day 21: Hanamizuki for real Japanese

Day 22: Nile Ethipioan for a great group meal

Day 23: Great white table cloth upscale Lebanese food at Cedar's

Day 24: Pio Pio on I-Drive for a great value meal of Colombian specialities

Somewhere in the above grab a Hawaiian hot dog at Kona Dog on IDrive

A few other out of the way places to add in

Day 25: La Luce in the Hilton Bonnet Creek - in a hotel but one of the best meals in the city

Day 26: Back to Winter Garden to eat at Chef's Table, the upscale fixed menu place from the owners of the Tasting room

Day 27: Cafe Tu Tu Tango for another great group meal when the vibe is as important as the food

Day 28: As my final suggestion, get a great locally sourced gourmet meal at Luma on Park in Winter Park

Day 29: Les Chefs de Paris (Disney). High quality French food.

Day 30: Victoria and Albert's (Disney). Continental cuisine cooked in superior fashion.

This leaves Day 31, which I will leave to some one else.

For Ft. Lauderdale, you'll really need to ask on the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale board, which covers all of South Florida.
