Need a lunch rec for Friday

My wife and I will be in Boston tomorrow around lunchtime and are hoping to find a nice full servce locale with a nice room and more importantly, good food. Been to many North End hit or misses, so would like to branch out. Not too seafood-centric as the wife is a tad picky. That means not too ethnic either.

I know, I know, that eliminates many of the top rated places listed on these boards. Any section of the city is fine. Budget is of no (or little) concern.

You might enjoy Eastern Standard if you haven't been there before. Sel De La Terre Back Bay is fairly casual. Sit upstairs.

      How about Locke Ober?

Looks like Locke Ober isn't doing lunch after Christmas.

I should have mentioned that we will be dressed somewhat casually so chi-chi places like No.9 Park don't really fill the bill.

Thanks for the replies thus far, though.

Scampo is a good lunch option (and much quieter than their usual dinner scene). Stoddards does lunch on Fridays supposedly but I can't comment on their food.

Coppa and Toro serve lunch, have great food and are not "dressup." I like Abigails in Kendall Square if Cambridge is an option or Area 4. If Blue (not Blu, but Blue) is serving lunch, that would be a fine choice as well.

Nice room, good food, no (or little) budget concern- Can't beat L'Espalier or No. 9 Park (which serves lunch only at the holidays), if you've got both the time and the money.

You could try Trade. I had a holiday lunch there recently with my coworkers and the room is certainly nice and the menu touches on enough tastes that your wife should be able to find something to her liking.

The room is lovely, but co-workers and I who've been to Trade haven't been very impressed by the food. I am a big fan of Rialto, and am hoping that Trade will find its groove. Service was also somewhat rushed and disorganized when I was there. I agree w/ the poster below that L'Espalier is a fabulous lunch option.
