NY hound needs New Year Eve help

I find myself dining in NJ NY's Eve, and am seeking advice for a restaurant for a 8:30pm meal.

No more than a 45 minute drive from Elizabeth.

Japanese steak house or Rodizio would be our first choice, but are open to ANYTHING except Italian and Sushi.

Stay in Elizabeth and go to Restaurant Valencia and cook your own steak on a hot stone, your own personal hibachi if you will. The best of both worlds. But if you want to drive 20 minutes go to Fernandes Strakhouse in Newark...for what I consider to be the best rodizio in the area.
