I recalled that there was a VT restaurant serving game animals around Christmas time but I couldn't remember its name.

I am not sure where to find a place to try those game animals.
Any suggestions?

TIA!!

Probably not the most helpful but...

I have been to a "game night" dinner at The Common Man in Warren, but I don't know if they're still holding those on an annual basis. There probably are other places holding special game nights, but I don't know of any off the top of my head. And most of those would most likely have been held in and around November (hunting season)

For places that sometimes serve game of one sort or another (I'm not including duck as game for the purposes of this list):

Mr. Pickwick's in Stowe had some game (venison) and wild boar on the regular menu. Topnotch in Stowe serves quail. The Barnard Inn sometimes has venison on its menu. Up For Breakfast in Manchester says they have venison sausage. Verde in Stratton has some venison and pheasant on their menu. Waybury Inn in East Middlebury has venison. Windham Hill Inn in West Townshend has pheasant and venison. Back Behind Restaurant and BBQ place in Killington (Anyone know if they've reopened yet since Irene? their website doesn't say) serves venison. Countryman's Pleasure in Mendon (Killington) has pheasant and venison.

Most of these places also have various versions of duck. A lot of this food is locally grown/farmed. :) Hope this helps a little, even if I can't answer your original question very well.

In March, the Meriden NH (close to Lebanon) fire department puts on a wild game supper, serving boar, moose, bear, etc. This is very popular, so it sells out quickly.
