Congee in Calgary

What’s the best Chinese restaurant in Calgary that serves congee (rice soup/porrige), preferably for breakfast?

  1. What kind of congee are you most interested in finding? I think one of the best fish congees I've had are the ones I've had at both T-pot and Forbidden City. But everyone like's their congee a little differently. Some places are thicker than others. I'd start with those two and branch from there. Good dimsum = usually good congee

Thanks for the reply, I'll try out those two places. I prefer a thick and flavorful congee with seafood and sometimes unusual meats, ideally accompanied with a deep-fried bread stick.

    2. Forbidden City has a seafood congee that is to die for. Chiu Chow style? It has mussels and other seafood that are not overcooked and is flavourful as well.

Thanks, sounds like Forbidden City's a go-to place for congee.

      2. I love the congee at Calgary Court Restaurant in Chinatown.

          Thanks for the good recommendation.

        2. Tai Pan has awesome Dim Sum and the congee is quite good as well.
