Florence--Sunday lunch without reservations?
We'll be arriving on a Sunday from the US. Is there a casual spot for our first lunch that we won't need a reservation for? I see that La Bussola and Il Pennello are open for lunch on Sunday. Thank you.
This is just my impression having done my share of dining in Italy ... unless you go really casual, restaurants like to know you're coming ... even if they have lots of tables available, they seem to like to read your name on their list. So even if you call the same day, even just an hour before, I have found that we have been seated at better tables simply by calling ahead ...
