UWS oyster bar ... mid 60's - 70's?

Foody4life Dec 28, 2011 10:25 AM

Looking for an UWS oyster / raw bar near Telepan. Want to meet friends for an early pre dinner drink and oysters around 4 in the afternoon. Have gone to Ocean Grill in the past, but are interested in other nearby options. Thanks.

I'd recommend Mermaid but that is in the 80's

      Perhaps Epicurie Boulud's oyster bar?

looks like a great option. we may be too early for oysters. will call to see when the evolution occurs (their website says "in the evening, EB evolves into an oyster bar with wines...").

If you go to the site and click on Menus, the page says the oyster bar is now open 4-8pm.

LOL. missed it - the website's bottom blue banner was covering up the Oyster menu selection. Found it. Thanks again.

Also I'd forgotten that another option - Atlantic Grill is around the corner.

We had a selection of fabulous oysters at Ed's Chowder House in the Empire Hotel (63rd & Broadway). The Chowder Bar is open all afternoon/evening so it would work for your group.
