Late Fall Share CSA Report/Review for Farmer Dave

This past season (November & December) I joined the Late Fall Share with Farmer Dave (located in Dracut with many different pick up locations). I had done a half share for the summer and didn't want it to end so signed up for the extended season. They only offer full shares for the late Fall season so we split with another family. It was plenty for both families as we are not large families (but we do cook daily). We received these items during the seven weeks of the share, some items we received every week and other items we received only a couple times: butternut squash, apples, potatoes, sweet potatoes, garlic, onion, leeks, parsley, cilantro, celeriac, kohlrabi, radish, spinach, lettuce, arugula, bokchoi, cabbage, romanesco, tatsoi, carrots, parsnips, beets, turnip, and Brussels sprouts (only once). I may have omitted something, but that was the majority of it anyway.

The share comes pre-boxed and they do offer a swap box if you want to swap out something for something else that better suits your family. They also did offer a few add-ons: honey, maple syrup and cider. We did try the cider and honey. Both were excellent.

I hope this information will help someone in the future for their decision-making. I would recommend this CSA share.

Great to hear and thanks for the feedback, I've always wanted to do a CSA but it's just the 2 of us and I haven't found another family in my neighborhood that is willing to split one. Some day....

Farmer Dave does have a half share during the regular growing season. I recommend it!
