Staying at the Ritz 12 27-30 Any suggestions on really good North African dining ?

Yes, there are a number of good choices. There's the Baraka Cafe, a charming, little Tunsian hole-in-the-wall in Cambridge. No alcohol, but terrific housemade rose lemonade, outstanding French desserts, good food; sometimes service is a little tempermental. Tangerino is a very polished and romantic Moroccan in Charlestown. Moroccan Hospitality Restaurant is a hole-in-the-wall in Malden with terrific, inexpensive Moroccan food. If you consider Senegal far enough north, Terenga in the South End is an excellent Senegalese option in a very modern setting. Finally, Oleana, and its much less expensive cousin, Sofra, offer some North African dishes and inspirations in a greater Mediterranean menu. Enjoy your visit!

I second Tangierino. A bit pricey, but great atmosphere and food.

I second Baraka and their lemonade and desserts. Remember to bring cash, no credit cards.

A lot of good Ethiopian food in town if you want to broaden your range a bit.
