sushi of gari east vs west

I want to take my brother to dinner at sushi of gari and was wondering how the westside location compares to the eastside both ambience and food wise. I've dined at the eastside and while I loved the food, I wasn't too keen on the environment. Can anyone say if the ambience at the westside is better and if the food is just as good?

  1. i dislike both...i find them overpriced, and i am not a fan on non-traditional sushi...but re: ambience: the westside one is a lot quieter, at least the one time i went...the first (and last) time i went to the eastside one, i found the vibe unpleasant and the service quite rude...

      It's a UES vs UWS ..
Having dined @ both .. Much prefer UWS for service and conversation and ambiance.
Also not a fan of non-traditional sushi

    2. the 46th st location has better ambiance and the omakase at the bar is almost as good as the ues location. ues omakase is indeed better...
