Dim Sum on the way to dropping me off at the airport?

After reading the message boards about dim sum I had planned to take my family to yank sing on Rincon but now I realize it would be cutting it short with an 11am opening and a 12.30pm drop off time at SFO.. Can you recommend any other places that get me closer to the airport as it seems like all the places open at 11am so I'll be facing the same time restrictions(thinking Koi?)? I am coming from the east bay...
Thank you

tai wu-mr. fong's off of king drive in daly city is a pretty good option. they are off of 280 between hickey and westbourough. not the fanciest place but big and the sui mai and sparerib wrapped in rice noodle is excellent.

    10 minutes from sfo.

Mr. Fong's is good food, and has the friendliest waitpersons of any Chinese restaurant I've ever been in.

Yank Sing takes reservations and I've never had a problem. If you make one for 11 am, are on time, you should be out of there by noon easily since they start coming by with the carts as soon as you're seated. If you want something you don't see coming, just request it of your head server.

It will not take more than 1/2 hr to get to airport from there, just shoot down the Embarcadero and it goes right on to the freeway south.

Zen Peninsula in Millbrae opens at 10:00 or 10:30 and has very good dim sum. We ate there two weeks ago and were pleasantly satiated by their offerings. Of special note was their Hom Sui Gok (Fried dough ball filled with savory pork) - hot out of the fryer and delicious, and the Siu Mai was one of the best I've had in recent years too.

Koi Palace isn't a problem on a weekday. They open earlier (~10) on the weekend.

I'd go to Asian Pearl in Millbrae though, which is closer, great food, and opens earlier. Nothing lesser about it except the prices.

You didn't mention whether this is a weekday or weekend day. If the latter, you also face a challenge just getting a table at 11:00 AM, espcially at Koi Palace (not sure about the lesser lights in the Millbrae area).
