Crystal Mall

On a recommendation from chowhound who mentioned it in a "Don't Miss In Vancouver" post went to the Crystal Mall.
Culture Shock! for this white guy from Seattle!
And what's more, there was live music which the people seemed to like.
Want Want Hot & Spicy was our destination for the lamb stick and bun.
We also ordered the "Hot and Spicy Vermicelli" from the menu above the stall.
Not knowing what I was getting into, I ordered it "medium."
That's like saying the nuclear reactor almost reached melt down.
The elements of fire and spice viciously attacked every part of my mouth, tongue and back of throat with each bite and slurp. Like a skilled torturer each level of pain was worse than the last but never to the point of death.
Hello chowheads, have any of you actually eaten the entire dish here?

We plan on returning but am in want of some guidance to the Crystal Mall vendors.
It seems each one has it's specialties. The mystery is what to get a which stall?
And, what other "food malls" are worth going to?

Here's an Urbanspoon listing of past and current vendors at Crystal Mall. You can select-read each vendor and read their reviews:

This local blog also did an excellent comparison of local Asian malls that have notable food courts:
