St James Cheese has the best selection. Horrid staff though. I asked the expert staff to help with a blue cheese selection. She found out that I wanted about 1/4 pound of 5 different blue cheeses and proceeded to hunt for approximately 1/4 lb already wrapped. Unfortunatley she misunderstood, what I needed help with was cheese selection not 1/4 lb volume estimation. She was also put out when I asked the names of the cheese she brought to the counter. This is only one of the recent problems I have had with the staff. If there were another comparable cheese store in New Orleans I would never go back to St James. But for now, they are the only game in town.

i had a pretty rough encounter of just rudeness when picking up a sandwich once. sandwich was awesome but the snotty vibe has prevented a return.

Agree. Fantastic cheese selection, obnoxious staff with attitudes. But really, really great cheeses.

Agreed, but since they *are* the only game in town, I go. Perhaps not as happily as I go to the Cheese Board in Berkeley, but I go . . .
