I went there once or twice and enjoyed the sausages. But it was too far from my home to travel to regularly.

Never saw much play for it here on CH, but for those who did shop there -- oh well ...

For what it's worth, they were nice guys. I hope the get another shot ...

I like the fresh sausages at the Bob's Market in Santa Monica. I also like the ones at Sprout's Markets.

Haven't tried Wurstkuche in Venice yet ... but that's a restaurant, right? Not a buy fresh and cook at home place.

I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm not surprised. I never quite understood the business model.

Apparently they will be open tomorrow Christmas Eve Day to serve their last sausages. They have 4 types left. Dommy and I will try and get their for our first try since we have been meaning to get there for a year and it hasn't happened.

Might as well throw some of the more creative sausages from Steingarten LA on Pico into the mix. Anyone tried their venison blueberry or their Alaskan elk? What about their wild boar and berry?

Yes you can buy and cook at home from Wurstkuche, Really good sausages. Uncooked they are sold 30% less than the menu price. My favorite is their Rattlesnake & Rabbit with Jalapeño Peppers sausage.

Yes, that is probably a good deal since Wurstkuche overcooks their sausages especially the leaner ones

FYI, they dont make their own sausages. Most of them are Saag's brand. j
