Chinese, specifically Dong Bei, and Sichuan?
I'm spending some time in Toronto (from NYC) and having fun exploring the food scene.
I'm near Chinatown, and curious about a few things. I notice a few Northeast-style restaurants on Dundas in Chinatown. Is one particularly good? (I love Cumin-fried Lamb, among other things.)
Also, is there any great Sichuan (or real Hunan, for that matter) cooking in town?
Thanks. I guess the answer, from what I gather from that thread, is that there is NO decent Sichuan or Hunan in Toronto? I'm surprised, given the number of Chinese people who seem to live here (given the amount of Mandarin I've heard around me). Maybe it's all out in Markham?
What about "dai pai dong" style Cantonese food?
