Anniversary Dinner
My boyfriend and I will be celebrating our 2nd anniversary on Tuesday. We are looking for somewhere yummy to eat, not anything too over the top fancy but something nice for a date night. We live in Oakdale and would prefer something not too far away as we can't stay out too late. He was thinking something like cheesecake factory in southdale or something along that line (he loves cheesecake) Not sure if this is too general of a question.Thanks in advance!

I think Phil's Tara Hideaway on the way to Sillwater would suit your needs, although I don't know if they have cheesecake on their dessert menu. The food is good and priced well. The atmosphere is casual. I also like The Strip Club as a recommendation.
If you decide, on a whim, that you'd like to fancy it up a bit, you might want to try The Hanger Room in Willernie (White Bear Lake/Mahtomedi). Lots of different menu options. No cheesecake, but have your hubby try the tres leches cake.

Try the Strip Club in St. Paul. Easier to get to from Oakdale, not stuffy, food isn't weird, really friendly staff. If you don't want to break the bank, you can make a great meal out of several appetizers, salad, dessert. And don't underestimate the burger -- it's one of the best in MSP. My wife orders it almost every time we go there...I think it's her favorite burger on the planet.
My wife and I have been married almost 14 years and this is our go-to spot for birthdays, anniversaries, date nights, etc. when we don't want the hassle of a "fancier" place. They always treat us well there.
