I am making manicotti for 25 using crespelle. I have pre-made manicotti with pasta, but never with crespelle. Can I stuff the crespelle the day before? Sauce them last minute, or does it matter? Thank you all in advance. Merry Christmas!
I have done the crespelle as part of an open house meal, and it's a lot of work! This year, I'm going to do the manicotti with pasta, or maybe stuffed shells, which are a smaller portion. But I did make and stuff them the day before, putting the sauce on the bottom of the baking dish, putting the crespelle in, and then covering with mozzarella and more sauce. Bring to room temperature th Ernest day before baking, and cover with foil. They are so delicious! How many are you allowing per person?
