Buffalo early New Year's eve dinner

We are coming to Buffalo for New Year's weekend and we would like to take out three women in their 80s on New Year's Eve for an early dinner. It would be preferable if it wasn't a fixed price special menu, but we would consider any restaurant with good food that isn't too noisy.

Where will you be? In the city?

We will be right over the border on the Amherst side of UB.

You might want to try Bing's on Kensington Avenue. Family-run, good Italian, with a nice neighborhood atmosphere. Other possibilities would be Shango on Main Street across from UB. It's Cajun inspired. There's also Le Metro in Williamsville, as well as Trattoria Aroma (Italian again), and Tabree (French) , Siena, or Brodo in Snyder. Siena and Brodo are also Italian.

I don't know what, if anything, those places have on for New Year's Eve, but I think for an early dinner they'd be reasonably quiet. They probably all have websites so you could check out menus.

Another possibility (a very old standby) is the Creekview on Main Street in Williamsville--we've taken my 80-year-old mother-in-law there) but it tends to be fairly busy.
