Great place to take nieces (10 & 11) for special lunch?

My nieces, aged 10 & 11, have requested a girl's day out with Aunt Cindy for their Christmas present. I'd love to take them to a nice lunch someplace they'd like --someplace charming and girly, preferably not a chain. If we were in New York City, Alice's Teacup would be my hands-down choice. Is there anything along those lines in Austin or its environs?

Judge's Hill might be a nice trip. Very good food and kinda fancy. It's expensive but I think the food on the menu is accessible.

1. Menu is probably it right, but to get dressed up Congress has a truly beautiful and elegant dining room.
2. Trio at the Four Seasons. Service is amazing. Call ahead w/your specifications. The lobby is decorated for Christmas! The girls will love the gingerbread city and the enormous tree.
3. Cute: Eastside cafe, Bountiful Cafe, Sweetish Hill, Enoteca Vespaio, Walton's Fancy & Staple

Thank you all! We ended up going to Chez Zee, and they had a marvelous time. We had a waiter who was very courtly with the girls, which they loved ... they also loved the kids' menu and ADORED the dessert case!

Chez Zee! Can't believe I didn't think of that. LOVE their italian cream cake. You made an excellent choice....they do such a nice job there.

Thanks, Singlemalt. Tanalee's Tea and Sympathy in Bastrop looks like just the right kind of place ... hope it's still open for business!

Have you checked with any of the major hotels, restuarants to see if they have a tea. It seems that someone like the Driscol or Trio was having one. I don't., of course, think in terms of 10 yo children, but the Steeping Room comes to mind.
