Chinatown - xmas eve

rachgrn Dec 22, 2011 11:49 AM

I have read through hundereds, if not a thousand chinatown entries from 2007-present. We are headed to Chinatown for xmas eve for the second time. Last year we tried New Jumbo and we liked it. Looking for the same vibe this year. We have someone who is claustrophobic so a basement restaurant will not work...unfortunately. Restrooms must be clean too! What we loved about New Jumbo was we were surrounded by families all having enormous feasts of all kinds, we weren't rushed (we went early before 5) and the food was tasty. The fish in the very cloudy tank as others have said did not look very appetizing, but everything we ordered (some seafood) was delish. We live northwest of 495 (in the boondocks) and just loved the Chinatown vibe and loved our kids experiencing it.

Thanks in advance!

Jade Garden is worth checking out.

East Ocean City (Beach Street) is similar in vibe and food.
