Quick Help With Cooking Frozen Tourtiere (Meat Pie)

Hey Folks,

I think I made the mistake of Freezing a Tourtiere I assembled last night *before* baking it. Well, I shouldn't say I think since I know I did ;)

Anyways, searching the Internet only shows how to reheat frozen pre-baked meat pies.

Any idea if I can cook an unbaked Meat Pie from Frozen and any recommendations on how? Or should it be thawed ideally (not sure I have the time)

I only have one chance and it will be served to guests tonight!

Thanks!
-Willie

My tourtiere recipe has make-ahead instructions that say to freeze the unbaked pie (with filling already cooked), then defrost in the refrigerator for 6 hours until the pastry gives under a little bit of pressure, then bake normally.

The meat is probably already cooked (right?), so that shouldn't be a problem. I'd go to 350-400 for about 45min to get a crisp golden crust and facilitate the evaporation of the moisture loss from the meat filling, then drop down the temps a little to get it to temp all the way through. Bottom crust might get a little soggy, but I bet it will be great anyway. Nothing that a mound of ketchup can't fix...

Thanks! I'll give it a try. Yes, the meat was fully cooked and even cooled before I put into the pastry dough.
