Hi, I don't know if I'm allowed to post about a new place in Bastrop? This community lost 1600 homes (about a fifth of our population) to a fire in September so I'm doing everything I can to support a new restaurant. The Olde World Bakery is in The Crossing which are those old buildings next to the river (behind Main St). All bread is handmade. The vegetarian bread is TO DYE FOR and only $4 piece. Pizza delicious and the BLT has chili rellenos on it. They do not have good coffee (just normal coffee). The owner is donating desserts to the MEN WHO COOK event on Dec 30 in Bastrop. If you need a great inexpensive culinary event to attend.... :)
