I've never seen the show, but I make my own horseradish every Passover. I've always nibbled on some fresh cut pieces. My only problem is bad heartburn if I eat too much, but nothing a pepsid won't take care of. The fumes however, are deadly! I take the cuisinart outdoors when its time to put the stuff in a jar. even then, I frequently have to hit the albuterol inhaler, something I only need a few times a year.
I have never eaten raw horseradish, but I know just the fumes can be overpowering. I thought this was an interesting and well produced show however if there are ever going to be many episodes of this show produced, eventually it will have to feature mistakes made by cooks and restaurants. I don't know why this show is on the Food Network. It seems like it would be more suitable to Discovery Health.
Years ago I had a friend who was the manager of a multiplex movie theater. The local newspaper did not seem to understand why he did not want his theater to pay for an ad sponsoring a local film review by their movie critic.
