Surfas sells jet black coloring that you can add to icing or fondant - would that work? if you don't want to make your own icing or fondant, they sell those too ;)

i actually thought about surfas but didn't want to travel that way. I also considered a party store but the one i went to today is now a T-Mobile store.
Since everything I already have is in a tube i wanted this to be as well. I know Wilton makes it b/c i saw it on their website, i just can't find it in the stores. i can find almost every other color, why not black??? sigh. i've been to three different ralphs today & bristol farms!

what part of LA are you in? if there's a Michaels craft store near you it's probably your best bet.

Looks like Sur La Table might have what you are looking for, at least according to their web site. But it's in a bottle with a squeeze top, not a tube and it's for cookies.
