Giganti's closed south side of Cleveland
Day before Thanksgiving I stopped at Giganti's to purchase essentials only to find it locked up and dark. I was hoping that it was a temporary thing. (family emergency or some such) but a month later it's still closed.
Where am I gonna find bread & Italian essentials now?
Any suggestions for a south side or southwest deli/bakery? I have no idea where I'm going to find the things we love for Christmas.

Devitis in Akron, just east of the Tallmadge Avenue exit off Route 8. My Brooklyn-raised Italian mother-in-law loves it.

Of the four, Rito's sounds like my best bet. Haven't been there in years & had completely forgotten about them. I'll have to stop by, pick up a loaf and see how we like it.
Does Tal's bake their own bread? If so, maybe we'll try them out too.
Deviti's is quite far off my beaten path. I stopped there once and had their sub. Wasn't impressed.
Galluci's is also a long way to go. Although I do stop there whenever I have an appointment at the Cleveland Clinic. Maybe the Clinic should give Galluci's a cut of their profit. I'm sure some of their offerings have greatly aided the patient count. ;-)-

I know there is one Rego's left, I think in Broadview? and they used to stock quite a bit of local italian stuff at the locations I shopped. Presti's stuff, some sauces from little italy. Might check them out if they are in your neighborhood.
I went to Rito's once but I didn't like the ingredients in their stuff. I think it had corn syrup or partially hydrogenated oil or something. I'd rather get fresh bread from the bakers at the west side market, they don't use stuff like that.
