Ladner/Delta and Environs

We come up from Seattle at least once a year to go birding at Reifel. Any recommendations on a good place to eat near there before we return home? Any ethnicity is fine.

I'm almost embarrassed to admit, but I like Sharkey's in Ladner. It's a maritime-themed seafood restaurant/pub - very casual and rustic. While I don't know if everything on their menu would be Chowhound-worthy, if you order their clams, mussels, or cioppino, you can't go wrong. It's a personal fav after birding at the bird sanctuary - love that place!

For two...

Would you consider food court fare? I say the Richmond Public Market (specifically the XIan stall).

How about Chinese BBQ? (HK BBQ Master - get the roast pork on rice or the cha sui or the duck).

How about a noodle house (Michigan or Tsim Tsai for congee or noodle soups).

Taiwanese Beef Noodles? (Master Hung at Aberdeen Centre mall).

Or ..... xiaolongbao (XLB), small steamed meat & soup-filled buns that come in bamboo steamers. In Richmond there are several Shanghai restos with above-average XLBs:

- Top Shanghai Cuisine
- Dinesty
- Shanghai Wonderful
- Suhang
- Shanghai River
