Prime Bistro - Lawrence

Has anyone tried the new restaurant on Central Avenue, Prime Bistro (not to be confused with Bistro Grill)? I saw pictures on-line on Great Kosher Magazines and it looks nice but there are no reviews or menu on-line. I just called the place and they told me they opened Monday and the menu is not yet on their website. Would like to try it out next week for a business dinner but afraid of chancing it.

Went to Prime Bistro last night and thought it was a nice dining experience. The place itself is nice and it felt more like a Manhattan eatery than ones in the 5 Towns or Queens. The food was very good and the service was excellent. My husband is not a steak eater and he requested that they butterfly his steak and he said it was the best steak he ever had. I shared with someone the Prime Rib for two. It was very yummy but I don't think the portion justified it being a shared meal. I would definitely go there again.

I hope that they do well but the menu seems too similar to Bistro Grill in Woodmere. As a side note, I ate at Bistro Grill for the first time recently and thought that the food was quite good. Used to go to the one in Great Neck but it closed a few months ago.

I just read today that Prime Bistro is owned by the same people who own Bistro Grill in Woodmere which is now temporarily closed. Bistro Grill will re-open as an upscale restaurant along the lines of TeVere.

IF THE SERVICE IS A BAD AS THE FIRST RESTAURANT, I WOULD NOT CHANCE A BUSINESS DINNER.

I guess I am confused about uropsych's response. Which restaurant has bad service? Bistro Grill? A friend told me Prime Bistro was noisy (and full - which is good for them) and didn't have a liquor license when she went but you could bring your own liquor. She said food was good.
