Koreatown Christmas - group of 10 need help

What better way to spend Christmas in NYC then with a big group dinner in Koreatown. We have a group of 10 and i'm trying to find a place thats good for a big group and relatively affordable.

I like Wonjo but that seems to be too small for a big group and Ny Kom Tang Soot Bul Kal Bi but the wood bbqs mean you leave smelling like a campfire.

Looking forward to a fun, long, soju-fueled dinner.

Any/all suggestions would be very appreciated.

Thanks :)

  1. I love love love Cho Dang Gol, 35th and 6th. Personal favorite is the ssam jung sik, which is pork belly and squid stir fry served up with lettuce for wrapping. Soups and stews are great too!

Maybe try to make a reservation for a group that big. I see families that size there all the time though.

    1. I think BCD Tofu House has big/long tables for big parties. You might want to call ahead to make sure they are able to accomodate 10 just to make sure. According to their website, they do serve beer and wine. Their menu is a little more limited...mostly tofu and a few grilled meat and rice dishes but I thought the service is always very fast and very good and the food is pretty consistent. Wherever you decide to go, you might want to call ahead because a lot of Koreans are Christians so I am not sure all the places in Koreatown will be open on Xmas day like Chinatown.
