$300 Vodka - distilled 159 times? Seriously?

The name is the Roman numeral 159, CLIX.

  1. I would love to see someone like Paul Pacult do a blind taste test between that and Ketel One...

    1. Ahhh ha ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.

I have a bridge I'd like to sell you as well.

Well, not you, but any idiot who would buy this.

Sort of disappointed at the Buffalo Trace crowd for making this ridunculous product.

The genius of Sidney Frank taken even further "The man behind Grey Goose vodka understood that Americans want to pay more."

I'm all for capitalism and separating the idiots from their money, but I agree that it's too bad that a company I respect would get involved in such dealings...

I had to check my calendar to be sure I hadn't slept in a lot longer than I thought today, and it was April 1.

          1. Oh it will sell for sure - not sure I'll be waiting in line though. Have to say - I'd taste it though, hate to judge before I've had a sip. Wanna send me a bottle? :D

I would taste it too, if someone offered it to me for free. Definitely wouldn't pay the $50-60 it would likely cost for a shot, there are soooo many other things I would try in the $300 range - Pappy Van Winkle 23, Don Julio Real, Herradura Seleccion suprema.

Distilling any more than 3-4 times is meaningless even from a chemistry perspective. It's just silly.

            2. What a waste of a gorgeous maple box.

It probably cost more to make than the vodka

Most assuredly. But that is true with any vodka / bottle combo.
