Restaurant in Vienna, Austria Open on Christmas??

I know this may seem like a daunting question, but I know there are some serious viennese foodies out there that may be able to help me out.. I would love to take my family and friends out for an early dinner on Christmas day, preferably asian food, chinese, japanese, thai, whatever.. Thank you for your advice. Happy Holidays!

Hey Sturmi - we went to Happy Buddha for christmas day dinner. It was good authentic chinese, thank you for the rec!
just out of curiosity, what's your favorite italian, and is there a good bagel place in town??

There are several interesting Italian restaurants:

high end: Cantinetta Antinori, Procacci,

Inner City pizzeria: Gennaro, Norma

Trattorias with seafood as well as pizza around Burggasse, Westbahnstrasse, Zieglergasse:
I Terroni, i Raggazzi, i Carusi, Il Mare

hidden gems:
in 9th district: Giuliano in Tendlergasse
Pizzeria Mar in Müllnergasse

Pizza only:
in 3rd district: Thats Amore on Landstrasse
in 2nd district: Pizzeria Mari

The situation will be the same as every year:
Most quality restaurants will be closed on Christmas Eve, with the exception of major hotel restaurants. And the only remarkable hotel newcomer in town is Ritz-Carlton, which opens this week. The expectation for their high-end restaurant, OTOH, is quite low...

Christmas Day is also mainly a day for the hotels, which usually offer high-end (= expensive) Xmas day brunches.

Information by the individual hotels will not be available before November, but you may contact them even now for some basic information...
