Bake Even Strips

has anyone used these? the idea seems good. there's a couple of companies making them.

    Yeah they're actually quite awesome, especially for cakes larger than 6 inches. Perfect, even tops--no little dome. I used one of Michael's frequent 40-50% off coupons to buy the Wilton set. The pins can get a little annoying though...I don't know what the silicone ones are like?

      Yes, when I was learning to make a wedding cake and had 8", 12" and 16" tiers, the Magi-Cake strips made a huge difference.

        I've been using them for 20 years, and never bake a cake without them. I just upgraded to the velcro ones, and they're much easier than fiddling with the little pins...
