Fish or seafood; easy access to I-5, not too pricey, not a long wait

I'm looking for for a fish or seafood dinner on Monday. Easy on/off I-5, affordable, reasonably fast service. Doesn't need to be fancy. Anything from a great fish taco to some fantastic grilled fish or Dungeness crab. As long as it is good and costs $15/person or less.

We'll be passing through around dinner time and have a hankering for something that swims for dinner. Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

You can get fish tacos at Poquitos, also on Capitol Hill (almost across the street from Fish Fry) but you'll quickly bump up to your $15 limit. Fish tacos are 'market price' so that might be expensive. And a margarita will definitely bust the budget.

You might try the Pike Street Fish Fry which fits your budget and offers tasty seafood. I would also suggest Judy Foo's for dumplings and her take on seafood.

Looks like Judy Fu's is Snappy Dragon at 89th and Roosevelt? That would be a convenient stop. There is no good Chinese food where we live, so that's a bonus, too.
If we're in the mood for something fried and I think I can navigate Capitol Hill, Pike St Fish Fry looks like it has some great reviews.
        Thanks for the tips.

"no good chinese food where we live" seems to indicate that your easy on-off diversion from I-5 should be the ID where there are several places (ho-ho, sea garden, others) where live seafood from their tanks is quickly converted into delicious dinner. i have found judy foo's to be rather sad, like chinese food in oklahoma...

Don't know about Oklahoma, but I'm with Howard 1st on this one. Difficult to get good seafood cheaply. Chinese food (in the ID) is your best bet other than fish 'n' chips, but the best fish 'n' chips places I know are no where near I-5.

No place for a kick-ass fish taco or grilled salmon sandwich? If Paseo was open, that is where we'd go. I love that place! But, it might just be one-of-a-kind. Was hoping there'd be some similar funky place that we haven't discovered yet.

Pike Street Fish Fry does offer grilled versions and sandwiches. I can't get past the fried fish, especially the shrimp, squid, or whatever is fresh. They had turbot a couple of weeks ago. And don't forget to get a slice of fried lemon (sometimes you have to ask, it seems.) They even do a fish taco.

There are, but not easy on/off from I-5.* You might like Agua Verde's fish tacos and other fish items, they fit your price range, and it's not TOO far from I-5. But it's not quite easy on/off, either.

*If you drop the I-5 requirement, I'd recommend the "Where ya at Matt" truck, Market Grill, Ballard Brothers, La Isla for salmon, Emmett Watson's...there are lots of inexpensive, funky places for fish and chips type stuff, too.
