Need alternative to Sparks, Bobby Vans, etc.

Taking my customer out for a holiday lunch. He likes steak, likes Italian, and American cuisine. Boundaries are 42nd-34th, between 5th and 3rd. Looking for high food rating, nice decor and service but not overly pretentious. Any suggestions?

  1. Wolfgangs at Park/33rd (admittedly a block out of your borders)
The great Italian restaurant steaks are way away...

Thanks..might be in reach. Did not meant to imply steak at an Italian restaurant.

No problem, I think I've heard that the steak at Locanda Verde is great....

Anyway, Holiday Lunch at Wolfgangs at 33rd may be a tough rez... the one on 54th might be easier. The Palms are on 2nd but otherwise near your "zone"

Again - these are not best in the city (Wolfgangs is one of the best as is Keens) I don't think the Palm is (IMHO....) And steaks are one of those contested topics here... but your geography makes the picks easier

    2. I'd second Wolfgang's.

      1. Keens, Wolfgang's, Ai Fiori

        1. +1 for Ai Fiori, especially if you're trying to impress a client.
