Dining recommendations South Coast Kenya, Diani area?
Hi, does anyone have dining recommendations (any kind of tasty food, from street food, tiny shack to fancy dinner) for the south coast of Kenya, south of Mombasa in the Diani/Galu area?
Thanks!

Hi there, I guess you're heading down to the coast for Christmas?
Plenty of choice, although the best is always to simply buy fresh fish and seafood off the fishermen and cook over your own beach side grill. However for other options:
Italian - Anielo's, its in teh shopping centre near leisure lodge, great Tagliata and the rucola is so refreshing in the heat
Seafood - pricey version is at Al Barbours - restaurant is set in a natural cave, beautiful ambience
A more reasonable option would probably be at Wasini island although don't get conned into diving there, the reef is dead due to over commercialisationStay away from Diani reef hotel - food standards have really gone down
For a chilled out sunday lunch with plenty of beach side sports you can go Nomads or fourty thieves, if i remember correctly, Nomad's has the better salad bar with lots of variety.
For a more upmarket lunch go down to AlManara - it was the venue for my wedding and the food was great
Let me know if you're looking for any specific items
You should really try coming up north if you can, to indulge in the street side treats of old town Mombasa - grilled meats, fresh cassava chips, spicy potato curry and biryani's
