Dinner Rec needed - alternative to Eleven Madison Park

Looking for something very special for 2 for Monday night. Prefer small and intimate place with fire place and great food but open to all just something great. Any type of cuisine would work and price.

This is too broad a question. "Any type of cuisine and price" is too broad. What do you mean by "alternative to Eleven Madison Park" ? It is the opposite of small and intimate...

Let's see...Italian, French, Meditteranean, American can work. Let's take out Asian influenced..Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Thai, etc...
Up to $200 per person with alcohol is fine.
Something special. Eleven Mad is so great and memorable. It is broad, you're right but not sure of any other specifics. Something intimate, elegant could be a small or large place..

Since people's drinking habits differ, it would be easier to make approprite suggestions if you provide a per person budget for *food only*.

We are not big drinkers so at most 2 or 3 glasses of wine. Again, price is not an issue

Haven't been to WD-50, but I would certainly recommend all of the others though, perhaps, Jung Sik might not be a good choice for BLover since Korean was among the cuisine no-nos.
