Steakhouse Help~ Ribeye Experts needed!
So I am taking my bf out to his 30th birthday dinner. His favorite cut is the Ribeye and basically will only eat that cut..
That said, our favorite spot had been StripHouse, though we havent been there in a few years.. I had considered revisiting but I still have an urge to try something new.
I actually was able to get a very late reservation to Peter Luger but my concern is the cut. I had only been to the LI location a few yrs ago and i didn't particularly LOVE it. He's a big steak guy, so far we've tried BLT Prime, Dylan Prime, Del Frisco's, Keen's, ... still StripHouse was the favorite.
I know there are other threads on here asking about the same thing but I just wanted an up-to-date answer :) Thanks for the help!
Have you tried Wolfgang's? Their ribeye is great.

Its not always on the menu, but the Ribeye for two at Locanda verde is great. I also love the ribeye at BLT Prime.

Can't really say "up to date" since I haven't been there in a while, but Prime House 65day dry aged bone in ribeye was a terrific piece of meat when I used to go.
I started a thread a while back (gosh, almost 2 years ago now) discussing steakhouses based on signature cuts. You might find something there more specifically related to ribeye:

We think the best ribeye in the city, by far, is the Cajun ribeye at the Posthouse. Just fabulous.
