Brownstone Bistro (Toronto)

Going for a group outing and wondering what to order. Any memorable dishes?
I was there last month for a group drink and dinner thing. Mainly for drink specials I might add and sadly the sangria was the most memorable thing. I had Cannelloni Calabrese and it was very average, someone else commented the grilled calamari being OK.
A quick poll of friends who live in that neighbourhood revealed that Brownstone is their "second choice" compared to other local favourites like Volo. They say that Brownstone needs a better chef and more interesting, "wow" food/beverage choices. I guess, like many casual restaurants, they cater to an on-a-budget, drinks-focused, non-food-lover crowd who might otherwise choose Kelseys or Caseys or the like.
