South St Burger at Bayview Village

I tried a cheeseburger today at the BV SSB, when I was famished. The patty had a slightly rancid, kind of freezer burnt taste. The bun and toppings were fine. I don't understand how or why a burger patty made fresh today, could remind me of a freezer burnt burger. Is that how their burgers always taste, or do they vary from day to day, location to location?

  1. It's just an OK burger at the best of times. I've been to another location at Eg and Laird a couple of times It's decent but it's not great, it certainly wasn't rancid what I ate, but it wasn't anything to write home about either.

      I love SSB's veggie burgers. Always taste fresh, cooked on a veggie only part of the stove with separate tongs, great fresh toppings and an optional whole wheat bun to boot.

      Maybe the meat version isn't as good. I don't know as I've never tried it.
