Egg & Dart / Miami Design District
Visited Egg & Dart in the Miami Design District last evening. It's in the same space that "Q" Bar-B-Q occupied before they flamed out and it's a very nice space and there's $3 valet parking which is awesome. It's a Greek restaurant.
Their staff is extremely polite and personable. The decor is easy on the eyes with most of the furniture being white.
It's almost like a "Greek Tapas" bar with many dishes to choose from and not very expensive. It's easy to order two or three per person so it can add up. I went with the the Tzitzki (sp?) and pitas to start and the Tzitzki was absolutely delicios and fun to scoop up on the pita triangles. The second dish that I went with was small pieces of sauteed pork loin in a butter sauce and covered with petitie onion fries. The pork was over done and dry. But the butter sauce and the fries really saved this dish! They also served home made potato chips and they were AWESOME!
I went to this restaurant as part of a "holiday alumni party". I arrived early and tried those dishes by myself. Later, they put out several other treats to sample and taste and all were quite good.
I'm hopeful this place does well!
