There are hundreds of good red and white wines at all price range and origins available at the SAQ...
What are you looking for ? price range ? origin ? to drink ? to keep ? to eat with ?

Thanks very much for replying i guess i should of made myself clearer. Its for gifts i really dont care about price or origin and im not to sure what these people would pair it with .
I guess i should go to the saq and ask for suggestions
and i dont know if i should go with red wines or white .I am so sorry i just read my post and i can see where its not really making sense..Thanks again seasons greetings..-
re: buttie
Never underestimate the power of bubbles; there are nice Champagne available this time of year (Doquet, ... ) that you can buy a couple of them as a gift (makes a better impression than just one botlle).
Whites : go for higher-end Bougogne (the like of montrachet ) or Cote du Rhone Condrieu; or go for classics like sauterne.
Red : (my preferences) Are for high-end Loire wines (Sancerre).
Sweet : if all else fails, go to Porto. (find an older one).Max.
