Will be attending the Xmas Pops concert this Sunday at the Lowell Auditorium and looking for a good restaurant within walking distance of the auditorium for a post concert relaxing meal. Suggestions appreciated. Thanks !!

I have to agree with Hobo. Cobblestones is mediocre and I really
Iike LaBoniche as well as Centro. The only problem I have with LaBoniche is that it's a several hour commitment, however, their food is quite good.›3 Replies-

Concert was great. They had a group called Rockapella that performed which was very entertaining.
AS for the restaurant, It turned out that LaBoniche was not open, so we ended up at Cobblestones. Food was fair to good, so maybe a little better than mediocre, but that may have to do with what we ordered, Had the braised short ribs which were tender and well prepared allthough there wasn't much flavor to them I also had the onon soup which was excellent They did run out of several items on the menu. That didn't impact us, but not what I'd expect considering how busy it was and almost exclusively reservations. All in all I'd probably not go back again.

re: hugo
At least the concert was great. Sorry LaBoniche was closed. I had received an email from them saying they were opening just for the concert. I too will not be returning to Cobblestones. Since they opened Moonstones in Chelmsford, Cobblestones has gone downhill. Scott if your reading this it's time to rejuvinate Cobblestones!

We went to a concert at the Lowell Auditorium recently and ate at Babylon Restaurant beforehand, and really enjoyed it.
Here's a thread on it - http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/798588
Middle-Eastern - Iraqi-run - nice folks - good chow.
