When we were in Bordeaux France we had canelé and they were delicious. I was wondering if anyone knew of a bakery in the DFW area that makes them.

This Chow link should help understand what this French pastry from Bordeaux looks like.

I looked this up yesterday and would love to try one. From a visit to Dallas yesterday, I can say that Steins nor Creme de la Cookie have them, but C dl C says they'll bake anything, so you may ask.

Aside from that, and since no one else has responded, have you tried the usuals: CM, WF, maybe La Madeleine?

I would love to know a bakery in Dallas that does them. They look fabulous on the link I posted above.
I Googled "Canele" and found lots of information, pictures, (yummy) and places you can order from.

They are fabulous. We discovered them the first day we were in Bordeaux and loved them so much we had them every day that we were there.

I just read about canele in the January issue of Bon Appetit and would love to find then in Dallas too.

I wonder if Rush Patisserie will make them?
