I would call the Orchard on Coney Island Avenue in Midwood - they usually have the "different" produce.

I've never seen romanesco cauliflower for sale beyond the greenmarket (in late summer). But Rossman's will be able to tell you if it can be had commercially. They will also certainly have artichokes.

Both are out of season, but you can find artichokes if you're willing to pay for them. Have you tried Fairway for them? The romanesco I don't think you can get out of season.

Are you willing to go to Manhattan?
Romanesco is in season right now. It is a late fall/ early winter vegetable, as far as I know.
It was sold at at least one stand today at the Union Square Greenmarket; the same stand (Lani's Farm) will make their last Greenmarket appearance this year at the DagH market near the UN on Wednesday. You can find small artichokes at Eataly.

My mistake. I saw some a while ago at the market and figured it was done by now.

Romanesco is definitely in season, as I just harvested mine a few days ago. I have never seen it sold in Queens, though....except ages ago at the old Flying Foods in LIC.

Gourmet Garage has loose baby artichokes for $5.99/lb, at varying degrees of freshness. More in season, I've seen large plastic clamshells of good looking baby artichokes there for about the same price.

Eataly only has the large ones this week. They looked beautiful, with lots of long stem attached.
They do have romanesco, as of this morning.
