Dim Sum Recs
Heading to NY. Will be staying out in Merrick, LI, but making treks to the city on Christmas Day and probably 2 other days. Definitely want to hit an authentic Dim Sum place with plenty of options.
What are your recommendations?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~While I like Golden Unicorn, my experience is they do not offer enough variety and come around with the same items. We always had to order something off the regular menu to supplement our visits. I would suggest you go to Jing Fong or Oriental Garden.....

Sometimes the search box gets confusing. See Lao's views on dim sum places. My rec is Golden Unicorn, since if your coming into town, you really want a place with carts being pushed around the restaurant. Red Egg doesn't have carts, nor does Dim Sum a Go Go.

And being stationed in L.I. I know Flushing is closer and also has some recommended stops... tried to convince my wife's family to go to Buddha Bodai in that area but they didn't seem interested though I've heard good things.. I would have recommended M. Wells but they don't seem to have relocated.. yet.
